OPERATION: MOMS Cookies began in 2002, with a request for care packages by an Army NCO to his parents for his soldiers whom did not have family support while deployed and based overseas. A handful of local women baked from their kitchens and sent their love and caring in the spring of 2002...today it supports Service Members across the Globe with their most basic needs and their families here at home with the passion, labor and caring of an all-volunteer Will, Grundy, Kankakee and Cook County staff, branching with Volunteers in Kentucky, New Hampshire, California and across the US, averaging more than 20,000 hours annually.
